This work is expressed in a multi-screen 5.49-minute video installation that explores the basic ingredients of our digital culture while attempting to make visible our digital shadow. The installation avails of basic surveillance technology such as raspberry pi computing with a 10 second delayed screening of the viewers shadow. The objective being that the viewer might encounter and contemplate their own ever increasing digital shadow. The video components are binary code and computer generated voiceover messaging such as ‘Can you unplg your mind’? and ‘You have no privacy get over it’. Other audio elements are the sounds generated from uploading data from 365 days of tides at the transatlantic side of our undersea cable network, the very basis of our high speed connectivity.
